Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot was built around 1285 and has been a museum since 1878. It is one of the oldest and most well preserved castles in the Netherlands. It was used for defense for many years.

As you can see, they quilted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below is a spice cabinet in the kitchen. It held spices from far away countries and only one cook held the key to it since they were so rare and expensive.
